MICROSOFT HAS STOPPED SUPPORTING WINDOWS XP, 7 AND 8.

Windows XP

After April 8, 2014, Microsoft will no longer provide security updates or technical support for Windows XP. Security updates patch vulnerabilities that may be exploited by malware and help keep users and their data safer. PCs running Windows XP after April 8, 2014, should not be considered to be protected. Windows 7

After months of buildup—Microsoft killed standalone software sales of the operating system in October 2013, and Windows 7 consumer PCs stopped being manufactured in October 2014—the venerable OS is finally exiting “mainstream support” on January 13, 2015. Learn More

windows 8

On 12th Jan 2015, Microsoft has ended support for Windows 8. For end users, that doesn’t mean the software instantly becomes non-functional, but that it will longer be updated with bug fixes or other security patches. That  could potentially expose a good portion of online users to malware, Microsoft warns. Learn More

WHAT DOES IT MEAN ?

No more security updates

The lack of security updates for the system increases your risk of being a victim of viruses, spyware and other malicious software, leaving your system, your data and your personal information without the protection you are used to.

No more support from Microsoft

You will no longer be able to get support for anything related to the XP operating system. Microsoft will also not be updating the online technical content.

No more non-security hotfixes

When issues occur and bugs are reported on an operating system, Microsoft corrects those by issuing “hotfixes.” As Microsoft have stopped supporting Windows XP, 7 and 8, they will no longer be fixing these issues.

UPGRADE

If you are using Windows XP or 7, we strongly recommend you to upgrade to latest version of Windows.

Over time, you will see more products that do not work on your computer. Since Microsoft is no longer supporting these OS, new versions of Internet Explorer will not work on the old system, making web surfing on more difficult. The latest version of Office is already not compatible with XP and 7, as time goes by, fewer and fewer programs will run on computers using that operating system.
